Common Errors & Issue Utility Meter Readings are Wrong

Scenario:  During your Meter Reading Process you notice a reading is incorrect.

 

The Meter reading process is very specific and the instructions must be followed in order.  This article assumes the user is still doing the meter reading process and the charges HAVE NOT been applied to the PIDNs.  If the charges have already been applied to the PIDNs then a user needs to edit and correct the individual PIDN change records.

 

Check the following items:

 

  • If a user wants to change a reading during the reading process, click button 3 Enter/Edit Meter readings, and change the reading on the desired record.  Be sure to tab thru the fields to automatically update the usage.

  • A User is allowed to edit both the New and Current reading fields. Be sure to tab thru the fields to automatically update the usage.

  • Pay attention to the CHANGEOUT USAGE field.  That usage is added onto the USAGE field to account for the changeout values performed.

  • If the readings are wrong in the AMR import file coming back to igov, you can fix the readings in the AMR software and reimport the Readings into iGovServices.

 

If the above instructions do not solve your issue then contact support and the ticket will be elevated.
