Common Errors & Issue Can’t Print a Business License Certificate

Modified on Tue, 3 Jan, 2023 at 11:18 AM

Scenario: You are trying to print a business license certificate but it won’t.

If you have printed a license certificate before successfully then this is probably a data issue on the PIDN charge line.

Remember to qualify to be on a license certificate the charge line date_eff (date paid) must be in the range you enter and the Gross must be zero and the PIDN can not have any other delinquent charge lines and the PIDN status must be Active and that PIDN can not have any Active Cases open.

Check the following items:

  • None of the License certificates for a specific filing code will CREATE a license.  Check the Settings / Business Filings / Filing Codes and make sure the Print License is checked.

  • PIDN does not show up in the Create license step, you should look at the PIDN paid charge and make sure the date paid on the charge is in the create license range.

  • If some of the property level data is wrong like names and address then you fix the bad data.  Then Create your license certificate again.

  • All PIDNs except one show up in the Create license step then check all the following data on the missing PIDN:

    • charge line date_eff (date paid) must be in the range you enter

    • the Gross must be zero

    • the pidn does not have any other delinquent charge lines

    • PIDN is Active

    • PIDN does not have any Active Cases open

  • A charge can only be used on one License Certificate.  Check at PIDN/ view license.

    • If a license certificate already exists then you must delete the first license certificate or delete the batch of license certificates.  That will remove the original license certificate number from the charge lines and allow those charge lines to be used again on a new license certificate. Perform the create license process again.

  • If the license certificate does not appear when trying to print a group of certificates, then the issue is with the pdf creation.  Make sure the “pop-up blocker” is not stopping your certificates.  When the print progress bar reaches the end and the green circle spins, look up on the address bar to the right to confirm the pop-up blocker is not displayed.  If it is then you click ALWAYS ALLOW and push the print button again to restart the group print process.

If the above instructions do not solve your issue then contact support and the ticket will be elevated.
