In this Knowledgebase (KB) Article it will walk you through the process of creating a new record (Account) iGovServices
You will learn:
- How to create a new record (Account) within iGov Services.
First you will need to be logged into iGov Services
On the black navigation bar to the left
In iGov Services, navigate to:
New Record →
(If you do not see this menu choice please contact your administrator to provide the appropriate rights)
Select a Revenue Type that corresponds with the type of record (Account) that you wish to create.
In this example we will use License - BLicense.
Click on the Customer Information bar.
Click Create New Customer button.
If there is already Customer information in the system for the customer then you may fill in the customer search window and skip the data entry steps.
Fill out the customer information, the more info you can enter the better.
Click Submit when all fields that you info for a filled in.
Important Note - The Company Name field must be filled in with full name of the company or owner name.
Notice the Account # filled in at the bottom left of the screen. This number is used to connect any other accounts that this customer may have together.
Search for the desired location. If it does not show up with search click the Create New Location Button.
Fill in the location information and click Save.
Expand the Data dropdown and click New.
If you wish to add new charges to the account use the dropdown and select the desired Charge. In this case the LTBUS2 $25.Fee.
Click Add to Charge List. You will see the added charge line and the amount.
If There is a Filing Code that is attached to the account use the dropdown and select the desired Filing Code.
After choosing the Filing code then select the Cycle for the code. The cycle is the frequency for which the charge is applied to the account. (Annual, Quarterly, Month) For this instance Annual will be selected.
When cycle is chosen click Add cycle to List and then Complete Record to finish the process.
