Setting Up Mortgage Company Information

In this Knowledgebase (KB) Article it will walk you through the process of setting up the Mortgage Company information  within iGovServices 


You will learn:


        How to Set up Mortgage company information, and How to add the mortgage code to an account. 



The reason for setting up the Mortgage Companies and attaching them to your records is so that during billing the bills with mortgage codes can be sorted together to make it easier to pull those bills out of the larger stack of bills created.  It also makes it easier to send them to the mortgage companies when they request them.



First you will need to be logged into iGovServices


On the black navigation bar to the left


In iGovServices, navigate to:


Settings→ Mortgage Companies

 
(If you do not see this menu item, please contact your administrator to provide the appropriate rights)





Under settings choose Mortgage Companies. 



The Mortgage Companies screen will display the Mortgage Company contact information as well as the Mortgage Code that is assigned to each of the records that have Mortgages attached to them.

To add a new Mortgage Companies information click the plus (+) sign in the upper right corner of the screen.  





Fill in the information fields that are shown in the image above. the Code and the Name fields are mandatory. The Code must be unique to the mortgage company as shown above 0001.


When all desired information is entered click the SUBMIT button. 



To attach the mortgage code to a record search for the account using the PIDN or other search types.  Choose the blue hyperlink under the PIDN and click it.  This will take you to the PIDN homepage. 


Click the Edit PIDN button and on the PIDN information screen locate the Mortgage Code field as show by the red arrow in the image above and enter the Code. 


Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save Changes. 


Note - The Mortgage Codes may also be added in bulk during the Property Tax import process but the mortgage codes must be entered into the the import spreadsheet.
