We discovered that when using the mail merge process which is creating a spreadsheet from our system and merging it into a word document, that when looking at any of the number fields (ie, 20.00) that all of the fields within the the columns must be formatted to show two places after the decimal. This is an issue with Word so the instructions below must be followed to show 2 digits after the decimal.
Follow these instructions on each number field in WORD.
In Word click on the merge field like Penalty_Amount
Right Click, select Toggle Field Codes
Then your field will be highlighted and after the "T" at the end of PENALTY_AMOUNT, type \# 0.00 (Just to the left of the final parenthesis.) It should then look like { PENALTY_AMOUNT \# 0.00 }
Repeat this on EVERY number field with a decimal.
Then Save your word doc and preview the data and it should be formatted with .00 cents.
