What if a Tax Certificate shows multiple lines?

Modified on Mon, 13 Mar, 2023 at 8:58 AM

When a Tax Certificate is created there should only be one line per tax year. There is only one way this can occur. The tax cert is grouped by two fields the Lien ID and the Lien Date located by editing the incorrect charge line. If you look at the image below you will notice that the first 2015 line is not filled in correctly. The Face, Penalty, Lien fees and payment are not filled in.

Go to the desired account and search for it by PIDN. Go to view on the PIDN homepage and choose Current Charges. Locate the incorrect line as shown in the image above and click the edit button indicated by the red arrow.

Scroll down to the Lien ID and the Lien Date fields.

The tax certificate report is grouped by the Lien ID and the Lien Date located in the charge line. These fields need to be the same. If the Lien ID is blank so should the Lien date. and vice versa.

Make the changes and save them at the bottom of the Edit Charge screen.
