Common Errors & Issue Trouble Creating Filing Entries

Scenario:  This is a vague question because it could be a bulk filing, an employee creating a new filing, or a taxpayer/employee clicking the START button to create a filing.

 

This is normally a data issue so consider submitting a new ticket including where you are having trouble with the filing. 

 

*The Create New Filing process (Bulk and Single) looks at the ACTIVE PIDN records and matches the filing code, cycle, and status of Active.

 

Check the following items:

 

  • If the issue is with the Bulk Add filing then locate one of the PIDNs not included in the bulk Filing.  Click PIDN View / Services.  Edit the Service and confirm/change the cycle and status to correctly qualify for the bulk filing process.  Change any PIDN to the correct service settings so it qualifies for the bulk filing process.

  • If the issue is with the Create a Single Filing Record on a PIDN then click View / Services.  Edit the Service and confirm/change the cycle and status to correctly qualify for the bulk filing process.  Change any PIDN to the correct service settings so it qualifies for the bulk filing process.

  • If the issue is clicking the START button on the filing entry make sure the Filing Template is not “Original”.  If nothing happens, notify a support member with the PIDN to look at it because it could be incomplete data not visible to the user.

 

If the above instructions do not solve your issue then contact support and the ticket will be elevated.
